Noah's Big 2

Noah and Graham's 2nd Birthday was a hit thanks to Grandma. With a horse and a sheep cake who can go wrong.

Bee's Baseball Game

Family Night at the Bee's baseball game was a lot of fun. Noah enjoyed it the most. They even got a free train ride inside the park.

THIS IS THE PLACE

I took the boys to the free day at THIS IS THE PLACE. Tyler learned a lot about the Pioneers and we had a blast even though it was chilly.

Spring Fun

Rex took the boys on a special day trip to Hill Air Force Base to see the Air Show.
Isaak and Noah Mears at Preschool Graduation.
Cousin's at the Bean Museum.
Isaak's 4th Birthday. Grandma Walker made exactly what Ikey wanted- a Shark Cake.

THE PROJECT- FINALLY OVER

Here is a preview of the completed bathroom that took close to 2 months to finish. Not decorated fully , but so much nicer than before.

THE PROJECT

This is the beginning of the destruction stage. Very messy. We took everything including sheet rock, toilet, and sub-flooring out.

Life worth Living

There are things in life that are wonderful and beautiful. But, these four boys have made my life so full of beauty, love and joy. JOY I never thought possible. They are my life! And I LOVE them all!

My BIG little Sweetie

Here he is our "baby" though he is almost as big as Isaak. It is a sweet experience to see him grow and learn and love life. With him it is hard not to love everything!

Great Times

We had a wonderful time visiting Amber and her family. The boys cried when we came home. They always have had a soft spot for Amber and now that she has a good husband and the cutest little girl and a great dog they could stay forever and be happy.

Hurrah for Parks

Viva Las Vegas!

There are many things to do in Vegas if you have the right tour guides. Thanks Amber and Terry.

Family Fun in the Snow

We decided to have a family activity on Saturday. We went sledding at Rock Canyon Park in Provo. Rex hurt his ankle, Tyler was cautious, Isaak rarely went down the hill, and Noah was all for it as long as mom and dad were along for the ride. The first time down Noah went with me and we went fast and spun most of the way down and when we stopped at the bottom Noah went "weeeee". Rex thought I was a little crazy when I went by myself. But we all had fun!

My Thoughts

Here is a new thing for me. No pictures of my boys, but just my thoughts. You rarely get this for many reasons. But, recently I have been looking around me more, so that my heart sees more than my eyes. There is so much to feel and do. Many days go by when it is too easy to look past the richness in our lives. So many smiles, so many cries. So many let downs, so many joys. So many heart aches, so many to love. I think I am starting to learn (yes at almost 28 years of age) that life is about living. There is joy found in the oddest places. When you are pushed to the limit and can’t see past that moment of pain you start to see something beyond yourself. You learn that someone is on your side. Today, tomorrow, and everyday we will always have something so special, so dear. Something so impossible to my mind, but something that burns in my heart. Our Savior is there….waiting for us. Every fall. Every trip. And even a stubbed toe HE IS THERE. So I am learning that hopefully as I live my life that in someway I am like him. That I ease somebody’s burden when it’s to heavy. Give a hug to the child torn up inside. When I see the world for all it’s hurt, pain, cruelty, unfairness and still think to myself I am living in a world full of wonder. The beauty of this earth is astounding and inspiring, yet it is in other people that I have found the most wonderful beauty I know. Our Father in Heaven put a special gift inside each of us. It is ours to choose to use to bless the lives of others or be as the world …..making light of things that matter most. To my Father in Heaven I am grateful that I get this chance to LIVE and Love all of you.

Fiercest Chocolate Cake of the Seven Seas!

Tyler wanted a Pirate theme for his Birthday Party

We pieced together ideas we saw online.

Sharks attacking the boat.

Barrels of Rum, Cannon Balls, and a Treasure Chest.

Placement of the candles made the cannons seem more realistic.

Dr. Henry "Indiana"Jones Jr.

Our boys love Indiana Jones.
When pretending, they sometimes argue about who is Indiana Jones.
To help keep the peace:
One get to be "Indiana Jones"
One gets to be "Doctor Jones"
And one gets to be "Junior"

Here are three hats that are often declared to be:
Indiana Jones' Hat

Houdini

On Christmas Eve, Emily put Noah down for a nap in his crib
while Tyler, Isaak and I finished the Igloo.
To Emily's astonishment,
Noah came out of his room all by himself.
I suggested we lower the mattress of his crib to the lowest level.
That didn't stop him.
I sat in his room with a camera and his pacifier (as bait)
to see if I could discover how he was escaping.
His secret is revealed in the video below.
(I'm not sure what we're going to do now)

Christmas Time

We had a wonderful Christmas

Emily put up two trees this year:
One for the Boys,
and one for our family.

The Boys' tree worked great as a decoy for little hands.
At one point, the knocked their tree completely over,
but the family tree remained beautiful the whole time.

We also built a gingerbread house a few weeks ago.
It was a hectic project. The boys were more interested in
eating the candy than using it to decorate the house.

Although the house lasted until Christmas,
there was obvious damage
from little fingers of hungry boys.

We didn't get very much snow this year
until about a week before Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, the boys helped me build an Igloo.
It is big enough for me to lay down in,
and tall enough for Tyler to stand up in.

Here's a video of it too.

We tried to help the boys understand
the true meaning of Christmas.
We had them put on a Nativity Play with
their cousins from Emily's family.

Tyler and Isaak doubled as Shepherds and Wise Men.

Noah played Joseph, and his cousin Jade was Mary.

All the kids did a good job of
reverently acting out this beautiful scene.
